Sorry for the spam of journals. Some of this is a little graphic and disturbing so if you get squeamish, I don't suggest reading.

I don't dream very often, but when I do, many of the dreams are really messed up like having abusive mothers (not my mother because she's cool) following me in layers, killing projections of my old friends, being late or forgetting to turn in assignments in old English classes that I've long graduated from (those are like real-life nightmares to me), and ones with large fish, crocodiles and alligators, and/or whales.

After sharing a dream with my brother involving a woman who followed me whenever I woke up in my dream and suspended me with hooks and sliced my skin with an apple peeler, he said that was the result of depression. I don't think it's depression since I have a pretty nice life: well-to-do lifestyle, awesome little brother, understanding and loving parents, and adorable chickens. Okay, so I might not have any official friends, but that's out of the question. >.<

Those dreams don't really bother me, but the ones that keep coming back are the ones with the large fish and whales. I don't know why, but whenever I have water in my dreams, there's always huge sharks, alligator gars, crocodiles, alligators, arapaimas, eels, whales of varying species, and oversized koi. Before having these dreams, I couldn't care less about fish. I've always enjoyed going to aquariums and looking at the fish, but after having these dreams over the course of seven years, I've been getting really creeped out. One of my psychology-major hall mates told me it could be ichtyophobia which is fear of fish, but I'm only having problems with large fish coming into my dreams.

Just last night, I had a dream that I betrayed a projection of my third-grade friend only to fall off an I-beam and into the ocean. From an underwater perspective, I could see two large sharks swimming up to my feet and take a bite out of me, but I survived since I gave my body diamond armor. I got locked up in a fridge as punishment for betraying my friend...

Is anyone good at psychoanalysis here? I'm trying to understand why I keep thinking about large fish and whales. I don't even think about them until the dreams come, but the thing is I don't know where the aquatic things keep coming from. Every time I have water in my dreams, I start to freak out because I can't wake up from the dreams, and there's always something that comes out of the water. Always.

I don't dream very often, but I don't want my dreams to be forever plagued by fish. The abusive mothers and friend projections I can deal with. The fish...not so much. Gosh, I hope there's no dark water in my dreams if I dream tonight...:iconscaredplz:

From what I've heard, (and prior experience) most unexplainable dreams are based on things that have happened before, and are either there flat out or are a symbol of something, or something that will happen in the future. And sometimes they're just flat-out strange things your mind thinks up. Don't quote me on this though, this simply what my mind has put together ^^;
